Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes tells of his motivation for taking a courageous stand against hatred in Arizona and across the nation. On July 23, 2010 Conor and the Mystic Valley Band played a benefit concert with Rage Against the Machine that raised over $300,000 for grass roots organizing and legal defense in Arizona. Conor also held a benefit show in his home state of Nebraska to stop a copycat SB 1070 bill. Conor’s leadership on this issue has been fantastic and unrelenting.
